Here’s one of my favourite brunches of 2023, from Ground Bakery in Penarth! They can also be found in Cowbridge and Pontcanna, and are famed for their pastries and overnight bacon.
Very glad to report that the bacon more than lived up to the hype, this was a delight to devour last weekend before a day finishing off the Christmas shopping!
Here we have the Fully Ground: overnight bacon, a sausage patty, house beans, mushrooms, poached or fried eggs and sourdough toast. Beautiful stuff.
Special mention goes to the wonderfully thick bacon (obvs) and the beans – these were lovely and fresh, would love the recipe to make at home!
