ad 🍹 These are genuinely some of the best mockt $ad 🍹 These are genuinely some of the best mocktails I’ve had. Colour me impressed! Wahaca are bringing their A-game to Dry January and beyond, that blackberry sour is going to be a regular request from me 👀 @wahaca is one of my favourite places to grab dinner after work or when I haven’t planned to eat out - it’s quick, colourful and the flavours are always great. Fab service too, this time from Saray who was so helpful and knowledgeable - thank you for the pork belly recommendation! Our mocktails were: ❋ Non-alc passion fruit & pineapple picante - fiery and fruity. Shaken with fresh chilli and coriander ❋ Non-alc blackberry sour - shaken with hibiscus, basil, avocado leaf and rosemary, sharp and luxuriously velvety Food-wise we went for: ❋ Smoky Sonoran hummus - a Mexican hummus made with roasted vegetables, chickpeas, guajillo and herbs, drizzed with chilli oil. I have ordered it every time since first trying it in August! ❋Smoky caramelised pork belly with tamarind sauce and crispy leeks - comes with rice or tortillas (we went for half and half) ❋ Mushroom carnitas tostadas - pulled king oyster mushroom carnitas, frijoles, with cashew nut and fresh herb mole. These were paired with the alcohol-free pineapple and passionfruit picante and went lovely together! ❋ Beef croquetas - British regenerative beef croquetas with habanero mayo and homemade pickles, paired with the blackberry sour mocktail. A Mexican twist on the well-known local short rib croquettes… IYKYK 👀 ❋ Avocado & cos salad with mixed beans and herbs, sprinkled with toasted nuts and seeds ❋ Tres leches tiramisu - cream, espresso, and Cazcabel coffee liqueur soaked sponge, topped with whipped cream ❋ Chocolate & pecan brownie with salted caramel ice cream and dulce de leche sauce - first time trying this and it was gorgeous! If you’ve followed my page for a while you’ll know I’m an absolute sucker for a cocktail, but this month I’ve loved trying new mocktails that taste just as good for the fraction of the price, and a fraction of the headache the next morning 😅 well worth a try next time you’re out! #wahaca #dryjanuary #cardifffood #mexicanfood #wahacacardiff #mocktails #alcoholfree$
